Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a Level IV neonatal intensive care position requiring a minimum of 2 years of Level III+ NICU experience and NRP/STABLE certification.
Details
- Work in a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within a large academic children's hospital
- Patient population includes newborns, premature and extremely low birth weight infants with complex diagnoses such as pulmonary hypertension, gastroschisis, omphalocele, esophageal atresia, meningomyelocele, HIE, hydrocephalus, and congenital cardiac abnormalities
- Facility participates in an active fetal therapy program
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and STABLE required
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience at a Level III or higher facility required
- Level IV NICU experience preferred
- Experience in a large hospital (500+ bed facility) required
- Active licensure and one professional reference required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide intensive nursing care to the most critically ill newborns across a broad spectrum of complex diagnoses and surgical conditions
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
