Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a Level IV neonatal intensive care position requiring a minimum of 2 years of Level III+ NICU experience and NRP/STABLE certification.

Details

  • Work in a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within a large academic children's hospital
  • Patient population includes newborns, premature and extremely low birth weight infants with complex diagnoses such as pulmonary hypertension, gastroschisis, omphalocele, esophageal atresia, meningomyelocele, HIE, hydrocephalus, and congenital cardiac abnormalities
  • Facility participates in an active fetal therapy program
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) required
  • Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and STABLE required
  • Minimum 2 years of NICU experience at a Level III or higher facility required
  • Level IV NICU experience preferred
  • Experience in a large hospital (500+ bed facility) required
  • Active licensure and one professional reference required for consideration
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide intensive nursing care to the most critically ill newborns across a broad spectrum of complex diagnoses and surgical conditions
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
