Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and required Epic EMR proficiency for a 13-week travel assignment on day shift weekends.
Details
- Adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department work settings
- Level I Trauma center experience preferred
- 3x12-hour day shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM
- No on-call requirements
- Procedures include abdomen/pelvis CT, chest CT, head and neck CT, vascular CTA, myelography, CT arthrography, colonography, aspirations, biopsies, and drainage procedures
- Spine and musculoskeletal imaging including cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and MSK trauma
- Uses Siemens equipment and PACS (PACS VUE preferred)
- Epic EMR with a minimum of 1 year of experience required
- May be required to float to other units or campuses within the health system based on census needs, limited to areas where competencies have been demonstrated
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) required; ACLS preferred
- BLS required
- State license required if applicable
- Minimum of 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
- Siemens equipment experience required
- Proficiency in contrast media preparation and administration, peripheral IV placement, and venipuncture
- Two professional references required for consideration
- PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging across a broad range of body systems including abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, and musculoskeletal regions
- Hunter green scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
- Orientation is held every Monday
- Pre-assignment modules must be completed before the start date and are required annually; up to 16 hours of module completion time is eligible for reimbursement
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Candidates must be located at least 50 miles from the relevant flagship Prisma Health hospital (Prisma Richland or Prisma Greenville) to be eligible; candidates under 50 miles are not eligible
