Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT CT certification for a 13-week day shift contract in Washington State.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with CT scan unit serving adult acute, adult outpatient, and emergency department patient populations
- Preferred experience in a Level II Trauma Center and pediatric acute care
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Procedures include abdomen and pelvis scans (with/without contrast), chest imaging (with/without contrast), head and neck imaging (with/without contrast), spine and musculoskeletal studies (cervical, lumbar, thoracic), brain perfusion, and vascular CTA
- Equipment includes GE and Siemens scanners; PACS system experience preferred
- Epic EMR; experience required
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Weekends required (Saturday or Sunday)
- Some on-call required
- No floating between units within this position, though all travelers should be prepared to float within the facility per facility policy
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
- BLS required
- Valid Washington State or Compact license required; license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency in preparation and/or administration of contrast media and radiation safety
- Skilled in abdomen/pelvis and chest CT imaging
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates; local candidates are accepted at a different rate
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty are required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging studies including abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, and vascular CTA
- IV contrast administration and peripheral IV placement (preferred) are part of the role
- Former permanent staff at this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Candidates who have previously worked at a Providence facility (as a permanent employee, traveler, or per-diem/registry) must disclose the location and dates of that employment
- All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO may not be approved
- Minimal RTO is expected for this position
