Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel assignment requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience, on-call availability, and active RN licensure with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Details

• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (7:00–15:30)
• Operating Room setting in a hospital environment
• On-call responsibilities are required
• Floating within scope to other areas within a 75-mile radius may be required based on facility need
• 5-bed OR unit

Requirements

• Active OK or Compact RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Circulating experience required; scrub experience preferred
• Foundational knowledge and practical skills in cardiac monitoring required, as an EKG/Dysrhythmia competency test will be assigned during compliance
• Valid driver's license or state-issued ID and a utility bill in the candidate's name with a matching address dated within the last 3 months are required for consideration
• Permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the facility
• 2 supervisory references required for consideration
• No active license hits

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they have at least 2 years of OR experience
• Candidates who have previously worked at this health system as permanent staff must have a minimum of 1-year separation to be eligible
• Local candidates (within 75 miles of the facility) are not eligible for this position
• No block scheduling requests will be accommodated
• RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer per 13-week assignment; no holiday RTO will be accepted
• Orientation includes clinical and non-clinical modules varying by specialty; module hours average 2–8 hours
