Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Louisville, KY, requiring active KY or compact RN licensure and experience in L&D care across low- to high-risk pregnancies.

Details

• Work in a Labor & Delivery unit featuring 14 LDR rooms, 3 ORs, and a 4-bed OB ED delivering approximately 3,000 babies per year
• Serves a patient population ranging from low- to high-risk pregnancies with 24/7 specialty support available
• 13-week contract, 36 hours per week
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures
• Must provide date of birth (MM/DD) and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, patient and family education, and coordinating admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Collaborates with an inter-professional care team to prioritize patient needs and ensure continuity of care
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation auditing
• Delegates tasks to and oversees team members within scope of practice
• Previous nursing experience preferred but not required
