Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring cardiac critical care experience and a compact or CO RN license.

Details

• Work in a 10-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU (646) at a children's hospital serving congenital cardiac and neonatal ECMO patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 for critical care, staffed by charge RNs and unit RNs partnering with the PICU
• Shift schedule is nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with 4 shifts every 4 weeks including weekends
• Uses Philips monitors, Med fusion and Baxter pumps, centrimag, prismax, and arctic sun equipment
• Documents via Meditech EMR
• Performs post-op care including inotropic/vasopressor infusions, IVF and chest tube management, care of post-sternotomy/open chest patients, and moderate sedation

Requirements

• Active RN license, Standard or Compact, CO or compact license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac critical care experience required
• Preferred experience with peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and ECMO bedside skills
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
