Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room/Surgery position in Austin, TX, requiring at least 2 years of scrub or circulating experience and a TX or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room/Surgery unit with 14 ORs, including 2 dedicated heart rooms
- Procedures performed include General, GYN, Neuro, Ortho, Plastics, Vascular, ENT, and Urology
- Day shift team consists of 1 charge RN, 16 RNs, 16 techs, attendants, and anesthesia techs
- Shift schedule: Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Call requirements: 4 days for day shift, 1 day for evening shift
- EMR: Meditech
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
- Minimum 2 years of recent scrub or circulating OR experience required
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Experience with robotics, neuro, ortho, or trauma cases is preferred
- Ciel Blue scrubs are provided by the facility
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- The unit has received the Unit of Distinction award three times
- A flexible and positive attitude is the ideal personality fit for this team
