Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Echo Sonographer with 1+ year of adult echocardiography experience and CCI or RDCS certification for a 13-week travel assignment in Farmington, NM.
Details
- Cardiopulmonary Specialty Services department at a 194-bed, Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah
- Patient population includes all age groups (pediatric, adult, geriatric)
- Primary focus on cardiac diagnosis and treatment
- Uses GE Vivid E95 echo equipment
- Cerner EHR
- Day shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Call requirement is one week every 5th week, with weekend call every 5th weekend only
- No floating required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Echo Sonographer
- Adult ECHO experience required; Pediatric ECHO experience preferred
- CCI or RDCS certification required
- BLS and ACLS required (must be AHA-issued)
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- US Social Security Number required for consideration
- License verification required for consideration (license required if applicable)

Pros
Unit is comprised of many travelers. Core staff and travelers have all been fantastic! The unit is set up quite well to manage the surges of patients. It is the only main hospital around so it can definitely provide good experience. Most of the providers I've encountered over the last couple months actually listen to the nurses and are easy to work with.
Cons
It is definitely busy before the size of the town. I can't say I have any other cons.
