Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Eureka, CA, requiring a CA RN license, postpartum experience, and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Cares for high-risk OB patients across a culturally diverse population
• RNs circulate on cesarean sections
• Unit has 11 rooms and 15 beds with an average daily census of 15–20 patients
• Night shift: 4x12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Weekend work required to meet staffing needs
• Floating required within scope of practice; travelers are first to float, including between sister facilities within the state
• Epic EMR required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required; pending licensure is not accepted
• Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required
• Postpartum experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required prior to start

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be considered at a different pay rate
• Former permanent staff of this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Previous work history at any Providence facility (permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem) must be disclosed, including location and dates
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days for the duration of the contract; all RTO requests must be submitted upfront
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
