Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step Down (PCU) / Med-Surg Telemetry position requiring at least 2 years of acute care experience and WI or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Med-Surg / PCU Step Down unit within a hospital setting
- Traveler will be placed on the unit with the greatest need, either PCU or Med/Surg/Telemetry, based on skills
- Night shift: 19:00–07:30
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Every other holiday (EOH) required
- 13-week assignment
- Epic EMR used
- Floating required within skill set, including to sites within 40 miles if needed
Requirements
- Active WI RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU / Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience
- RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills assessment required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
- Both Med-Surg RNs and Step Down/PCU RNs will be considered, as credentialing requirements are the same for both
- Local candidates are eligible to apply; however, local candidates may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
- COVID vaccination is not required
