Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a float pool night shift position requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

• Float pool position requiring rotation across multiple ICUs, including MICU, CIVCU, NICU, SICU, TICU, and Burn ICU
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active LA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Preferred certifications: CCRN, CPI, and NIHSS
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency with ICU skills including arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, vasoactive drip titration, and hemodynamic monitoring
• At least two recent manager references required
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Any license history hits must be disclosed along with a personal statement

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Maximum of 5 days of RTO for the duration of the contract
• Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility are accepted at a local rate
• Former permanent employees of the health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible
• Pre-start orientation modules are required and are non-billable; RN modules range from 5–8 hours
• Work history gaps of more than 30 days must be listed and explained
