Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) position in New Hampshire, requiring 2 years of ED experience and an active NH or compact RN license.

Details

• Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) with 11 beds
• Full-service emergency department providing a wide range of emergency procedures
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
• Staffing matrix: 2 RNs at 7:00 AM, 3 RNs at 11:00 AM, 2 RNs at 7:00 PM
• Patient ratios vary based on census
• EMR: Meditech
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required; no on-call requirements
• Float requirement between Portsmouth ED (unit 780) and Seabrook FSED (unit 781)

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS and/or ENPC, and TNCC — AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• CPI certification required (SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA may be accepted in lieu of CPI)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience in a hospital setting required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• FSED experience is preferred; candidates with this background will be given first consideration
• Preferred certifications include CEN, CPEN, and TCRN
• Ideal candidates are independent, autonomous, critical thinkers who are adaptable and have strong clinical and relational skills
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• This is an HCA Healthcare facility
