Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and Level II or higher trauma center background for an acute care hospital placement on evening shifts.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with a Level II trauma center designation
• CT department includes 5 scanners — 2 rooms adjacent to the ER and 3 on the clinic side
• Patient population ranges from infants through adults, with cases including traumas, strokes, and a full range of CT studies
• Average of 90–100 scans per day across acute and ambulatory settings
• May float to cover acute care, urgent care, ER, and occasionally outpatient areas
• EMR is Cerner (transitioning to Epic); PACS is Siemens/SECTRA
• Equipment includes Siemens and Toshiba 300+ slice scanners
• IV placement is required
• 10-hour evening shifts, Wednesday through Tuesday
• Weekend and holiday coverage required based on rotation
• Schedule is set — no self-scheduling or block scheduling; some shifts may require working alone in the department
• No on-call or standby requirement

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Experience in a Level II or higher trauma center required
• IV placement experience strongly preferred
• Active ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (CT) preferred
• Active BLS (AHA) certification required
• License required if applicable — license must be active by start date
• 2 professional references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference from within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years of relevant experience

Additional Information

• Perform a full range of CT imaging studies including traumas, strokes, and both acute and ambulatory cases across the lifespan
• Orientation consists of up to one week including CBTs, computer access setup, an organizational checklist, and supervised time on the floor during the first few days
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their submission date
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to a reduced bill rate

• Scrubs are not provided and there is no assigned scrub color
