Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Pediatric OR RN for a 12-week travel contract at a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma facility, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and a TX or compact RN license.
Details
- Pediatric surgical unit (Peds Surgery) within a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma facility
- Facility has 14 ORs and 2 procedure rooms
- Charting is performed in Cerner
- Day shift: 06:30–19:00
- Schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- 12-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required (both must be AHA-issued)
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
- Pediatric surgical experience strongly preferred given the patient population
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Driver's License copy required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include circulating and scrub nurse duties, covering patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Circulating duties include monitoring patient status and maintaining accurate EHR documentation in Cerner
- Scrub duties include maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and directly assisting surgeons
- Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to support efficient surgical workflows and high-quality clinical outcomes
