Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Interventional Lab (CVIL) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of Cardiac/Surgical ICU experience and Cath and/or EP Lab experience.
Details
- Work setting is a large hospital-based Cardiovascular Diagnostic and Interventional Laboratory (CVIL) with eleven procedure rooms
- Unit specializes in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures including Coronary Artery Disease, Valvular Heart Disease, Cardiomyopathy, Pericardial Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Adult Congenital Heart Disease, and Aortic Disease
- Procedures performed in Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology (EP) labs
- Schedule is Monday–Friday with four 10-hour shifts on alternating/staggered start times (6:30 AM–5:00 PM, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, 8:00 AM–6:30 PM, or 9:00 AM–7:30 PM)
- No block scheduling — no set rotating day off
- On-call required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays with a minimum of 7–10 days every 6 weeks
- On-call response time requirement is 30 minutes
- Epic CUPID EMR used (preferred experience)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Cardiac or Surgical ICU required
- Cardiovascular Interventional Lab (CVIL) experience in Cath and/or EP labs required
- Moderate sedation experience required
- Experience at a 500+ bed facility required
- Critical Care Certification preferred
- Trauma course completion preferred
- Epic CUPID experience preferred
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Active licensure and 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
- Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
- On-call frequency details will be discussed during the interview process
