Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist for an acute care hospital position requiring ARRT(R) certification and a minimum of 1 year of radiology experience, with competency in fluoroscopy, C-arm, and portable radiography.

Details

  • Acute care hospital radiology setting serving a diverse patient population including NICU, CCU, and ED
  • Performs general diagnostic X-ray, fluoroscopic procedures, C-arm fluoroscopy in the OR, trauma radiography, and portable radiography
  • Assists with fluoroscopically guided PICC placements and US-guided paracentesis, thoracentesis, and arthrocentesis alongside radiology providers
  • Variable day shift schedule, with potential need to work weekends and after-hours shifts
  • On-call availability may be required to meet organizational and patient needs
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of radiology experience (clinical internship experience may be considered)
  • Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program or equivalent
  • Current ARRT and ARRT(R) certification required
  • Current AHA BLS certification required
  • Montana Radiology Technologist license required (license required if applicable)
  • Must demonstrate or be able to achieve competency within 6 months in fluoroscopy/C-arm in the OR, trauma radiography, and portable radiography
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs, and provide physical patient support as needed
  • Must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

  • Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic exams, documents findings, and ensures proper archiving and retrieval of images and reports
  • Educates patients on prep and post-care for radiology procedures, and mentors radiology students and new hires
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives and completes required education per DNV program standards
  • Role may involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, infectious diseases, and emotionally challenging patient situations
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are essential for success in this fast-paced environment
