Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring critical care experience with vents, Swans, Impellas, and balloon pumps.
Details
- Work in the CVICU unit of a hospital setting with 24 beds
- Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
- Uses specialized equipment including vents, Swans, Impellas, and balloon pumps
- Performs procedures such as intubation, central lines, bronchoscopy, EVDs, ICP monitoring, pacers, and bolts
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Required to work every other weekend
- May float to Doctors ICU
- May be placed on call only for scheduled shifts if not needed, with no other call expectations
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required
- Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred
- CV surgery experience preferred
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and support
- Team includes a CNC, 12 RNs, a Unit Secretary, and 1-3 sitters per week
- Royal blue scrubs required per unit dress code
- Excellent customer service skills valued for this role
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
