Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for PACU requiring prior PACU and ICU experience plus a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 14-bed Tower PACU unit
• Patient ratio of 2:1
• RN-only staffing with no unit secretaries or techs
• Uses Phillips monitors for patient care
• Charts in Meditech
• Scheduling options include 3/12s or 4/9s with block scheduling available
• One weekend call shift required per month
• Minimal floating may be required
• Shift hours run from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior PACU experience required
• At least 1 year of ICU experience required
• Advanced skills required in management of post-op craniotomies, spine surgeries, thoracotomies, general GI/GU, vascular and bariatric cases
• Experience with A-line, chest tube, and central line management required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide post-anesthesia care to surgical patients recovering from a variety of procedures
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• Dress code requires dark-colored scrubs
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months are permitted
