Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week day shift contract at a Level III Trauma acute care hospital in South Carolina, performing CT examinations across inpatient, outpatient, ER, and interventional settings.

- Level III Trauma, acute care hospital with 286 staffed beds
- CT department serving patient populations from newborn through geriatrics
- Cases include inpatient, outpatient, ER, and scheduled interventional procedures; weekend outpatient cases run 9:00 AM–12:00 PM only, and interventional cases are performed on Fridays only
- Procedures include CT examinations, biopsies, and contrast administration; required skills include IV starts and PACS system proficiency
- Epic is the EMR system (experience preferred)
- 3x12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM
- On-call rotation shared among staff, covering Monday–Thursday from 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM; call is needed approximately every 4–5 weeks
- No floating between service lines or sister facilities
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience
- ARRT (CT), SCRQSA (CT), and AHA BLS required
- SC state license required if applicable; must be active and in hand at time of start — pending licenses are not accepted
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
- Ability to start peripheral IVs and administer contrast media
- Experience with PACS system and biopsy procedures
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs high-quality CT examinations in accordance with established protocols under the general supervision of the CT manager and radiology director
- Candidate-provided radiation badge is required; the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
- Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
- Facility parking is free
- Modules are completed prior to start
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any facility within the health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are accepted on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration; RTO requests submitted after that point will not be accepted
- During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
