Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position in Colorado, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and active CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Labor & Delivery setting within a regional hospital, operating as a Family Birth Center
• Scope of care includes L&D with OR, PACU, postpartum, and couplet care
• Caring for patients delivering at 32 weeks gestation and above
• Approximately 60–80+ deliveries per month
• 12-hour night shifts with rotating weekends
• On-call rotation is typically one 12-hour shift every 6 weeks, though this is subject to change
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Colorado RN license or compact license valid for practice in Colorado
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
• RN Charge experience required
• Required certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS (both must be AHA-issued), NRP, and STABLE
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Date of birth (DOB) required for consideration
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include intrapartum care, OR and PACU support, postpartum care, and newborn couplet care
• Charge RN duties are expected as part of this role
• A Colorado CAPS (criminal background check) is required prior to starting — this process can take up to two weeks, so early application is encouraged
• The facility has received Pathway to Excellence Designation, reflecting a commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care
• Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
