Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient and swing bed setting in Colorado, requiring a valid CO PT license and a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Details

• Inpatient and swing bed setting within a hospital rehabilitation services department
• Patient population spans pediatric to geriatric
• Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM day shift schedule
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Valid Colorado Physical Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Strong knowledge of PT evaluation, treatment planning, and rehabilitation principles
• Ability to assess and treat a broad patient population from pediatric to geriatric

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and administering a range of physical therapy modalities including manual therapy, hydrotherapy, ultrasound, traction, and assistive device training
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other care team members on discharge planning and patient care conferences
• Designs and instructs patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs to support continuation of care after discharge
• Contributes to staff development through in-service training and mentorship
• Ensures compliance with infection control protocols and regulatory requirements
