Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab / EP Technologist requiring 2+ years of experience and RCIS certification with IR Tech experience.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit setting
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Weekend shifts required
• On-call required, approximately 14-15 days of call within a 6 week period
• Call hours are 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM on weekdays, and 5:30 PM Friday to 7:00 AM Monday on weekends, per rotation
• No floating within scope required
• Any charting system experience required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Tech
• Strong RCIS certification required with IR Tech experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and ARRT-R certifications required
• License required if applicable
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Prior travel experience required, specifically as a strong and experienced Cath Tech or RCIS
• Proficient in cardiac cath lab procedures including left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, hemodynamic monitoring, and temporary pacemaker insertion
• Experience with EP studies including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, conduction studies, and pacemaker/AICD insertion
• Experience with vascular studies and procedures including angioplasty, carotid stenting, dialysis graft interventions, endovascular interventions, and TIPS
• Skilled in IV starts, peripheral/venous access, and rotablader/ablation procedures
• Experience with genitourinary and neurological interventional procedures such as stent placements

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include accurate patient monitoring, EKG lead placement, and serving as room circulator during procedures
• Perform baseline measurements and electrophysiology evaluations
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate for those living within 50 miles of the facility
• Only one RTO request permitted
• Expect to work some holidays and weekends
• Floating to other units will be in accordance with facility policy and clinical experience
• Annual and orientation training modules required, completed through Relias/Net Learning portal
• Former travelers must have a 90-day separation before returning to the assignment after 1 year
• Former permanent employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
