Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience and RCIS certification with IR Tech background required.

Details

• Cardiac catheterization lab setting
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Weekend shifts required
• On-call required, approximately 14-15 days within a 6-week rotation covering weekday nights (5:30 PM-7:00 AM) and weekends (Friday 5:30 PM-Monday 7:00 AM)
• No floating required outside of the unit
• Any charting/EMR experience accepted

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• RCIS certification with IR Tech experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and ARRT-R certifications required
• License required if applicable
• Strong, experienced Cath Lab Tech or RCIS background preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• Skilled in cardiac catheterization procedures including left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, and cardiac stent placement
• Experience with electrophysiology procedures such as cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, and AICD/pacemaker insertion preferred
• Proficient in vascular studies including angioplasty, carotid stenting, and dialysis graft interventions
• Skilled in IV starts, Rotablader, ablations, and peripheral/venous access
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include accurate patient monitoring, EKG lead placement, and serving as room circulator during procedures
• Performs a wide range of cardiac, vascular, neurological, and genitourinary procedures including hemodynamic monitoring, thrombectomy, and stent placements
• Expect to work some holidays and weekends
• One RTO request allowed and must be approved prior to assignment
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be eligible for a lower local pay rate
• Travelers who complete a full year must separate for at least 90 days before returning to the facility as a traveler
• Former permanent employees must be separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
