Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT/X-ray Multimodality Technologist for a pediatric hospital setting, requiring recent experience in both CT and X-ray modalities.
Details
- >Pediatric acute care hospital setting with CT and X-ray multimodality coverage
- Performs abdomen and pelvis CT studies with and without contrast
- Additional imaging includes chest, head and neck, and spine/musculoskeletal (cervical, thoracic, lumbar) studies
- Special procedures may include brain perfusion, CT arthrography, virtual colonography, and transplant studies
- Utilizes PACS and Siemens equipment
- EPIC charting system used
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Candidates will float within scope of practice as needed
Requirements
- >Minimum 1 year of experience required, 2 years preferred
- Recent experience in both CT and X-ray modalities required
- ARRT Advanced Certification and ARRT-R required
- BLS certification required
- VA license or compact state license required, must be in hand at time of consideration
- License required if applicable
- EPIC charting experience required
- BSN preferred
- Experience in teaching hospital, community hospital, and Level I Trauma settings preferred
- Experience with contrast media preparation and administration required
- Ability to start peripheral IVs preferred
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing/radiology program (diploma, Associate's, or BSN accepted; ACEN or CCNE accreditation)
- 2 professional references required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- >Local candidates accepted at the same base rate with no radius restrictions
- First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience
- Facility maintains a natural nail policy for all clinical staff
- Facility is a smoke-free and tobacco-free campus
- ER and Psych candidates must undergo fingerprinting per Virginia code 37.1-183.3, with results taking 15-20 business days; candidates cannot start with pending results
- Travelers and permanent staff must wait one year after separation before returning as a traveler
- Facility conducts background checks as part of the hiring process
- All candidates will complete required orientation modules through the facility's Learning Exchange system
- Orientation modules must be completed by the Friday of the assignment's orientation week
- Time-off requests must be submitted and approved by the unit manager at the time of consideration; no time off granted during the first week of assignment
- Holidays are not guaranteed off
