Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Endoscopy unit position requiring 1 year of ERCP experience and BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in the Endoscopy unit of an inpatient hospital setting
• Patient population ranges from adults to geriatrics
• Unit consists of 3 procedure rooms with 11 beds and an average daily census of 20
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Uses Epic and Pyxis systems
• Day shift schedule of 4x9 hours (6:30 AM-3:30 PM), actual scheduling includes 2 ten-hour shifts (6:30 AM-5 PM) and 2 eight-hour shifts (6:30 AM-3 PM) totaling 36 hours per week
• Required to work 2-3 weekends per contract
• No floating required
• On-call requirements include 1 weekday call per week and 1 weekend call per 6-week schedule

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Required experience with ERCP, ERCP with Spy Glass, Bronchoscopy, EBUS procedures, Colonoscopy, EGD, and ION procedures
• Skilled in administering and monitoring conscious sedation
• Experience circulating and scrubbing for procedures
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and scrubbing duties for a variety of GI and pulmonary procedures
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with all RTO finalized at time of submission
• RTO blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period, including New Year's Eve/Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, and Christmas Eve/Day
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Previous Piedmont employees (perm, per diem, or FCSS) must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
• Travelers previously unable to return to a Piedmont facility must complete one successful assignment outside of Piedmont before reapplying
