Description

American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy RN with ERCP experience for a hospital endoscopy unit requiring GA or compact licensure.

Details

• Hospital-based Endoscopy unit setting
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:2 across 3 rooms, 11 beds, with an average daily census of 20
• Uses Pyxis and Epic systems
• Day shift schedule (mix of 8- and 10-hour shifts) totaling 36 hours per week, 6:30 AM start
• No floating required
• On-call required one weekday per week and one weekend per 6-week schedule
• Works 2-3 weekends per contract

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of GI/Endoscopy experience required
• Experience with ERCP required, including ERCP with SpyGlass
• Experience with Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Colonoscopy, EGD, and ION Procedures
• Must be able to work through pre/post, circulate, and tech roles
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Administering and monitoring conscious sedation skills required
• Scrub role experience preferred

Additional Information

• Duties include pre/post procedure care, circulating, and scrub responsibilities for GI/Endoscopy cases
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• RTO blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment (New Year's Eve/Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day)
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Clinical screening required to determine fit prior to manager review
• Full compliance required prior to start date to avoid a two-week delay
