Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with RDMS and OB experience for a critical access hospital ultrasound department.

Details

• Critical access hospital with a 30-bed facility and 2 ultrasound rooms
• Department staffed with 1 full-time new grad tech, 2 part-time seasoned techs, and 2 travelers
• Exam times allotted at 30 minutes to 1 hour per patient
• Equipment includes GE Logic E10, Trophons, and Parks Flolab
• EMR is Cerner with Philips Intellispace PACS
• Shift is Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• One night of call per week and one weekend of call per month after working shift, averaging 6-8 call days per month
• May float to outpatient ultrasound if proficient

Requirements

• Current BLS certification
• ARDMS registry in Abdomen or OB required
• RVT registry preferred
• Level II OB experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• Must be able to scan general ultrasound with vascular
• High risk OB experience preferred
• Proficient in abdomen, pelvis, vascular (carotid/venous), ABIs, OB/GYN, small parts, and breast ultrasounds
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform a variety of ultrasound exams including abdominal, pelvic, vascular, OB/GYN, small parts, and breast studies
• Follow written protocols and exam templates per radiologist guidelines
• Write exam reports and communicate findings to radiologists
• Black scrubs required
• Team player mentality with ability to complete exams within 30-45 minutes
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
