Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week acute and outpatient contract role working 12-hour day shifts.

Details

• Setting includes a 67-bed acute care hospital and an outpatient physical therapy clinic located within the same facility
• Outpatient patient population includes orthopedic, neurological, vestibular, lymphedema, post-op, general debility, and women's health conditions
• Acute care patient population includes post-op, neurological, general debility, COPD, and CHF diagnoses
• Shift hours are 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, with five 8-hour shifts per week and rotating weekends and holidays
• May be required to float between two facility locations as needed
• Epic EMR is used at this facility
• Weekend rotation occurs approximately once every 4–6 weeks for acute care assignments
• Holiday coverage is required on a rotating basis unless RTO has been pre-approved

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience within the unit specialty area
• Current BLS certification required
• Active state PT license required (license required if applicable)
• Acute care experience preferred
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

• Department orientation runs approximately 4–5 days
• Collaborative team culture within the physical therapy department
• Light gray scrubs are required

• Candidates who have previously worked a permanent position at an Advocate Health Southeast facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
