Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT(R)(CT) certification and at least 1 year of experience for a night shift position performing CT and X-ray in an acute care hospital setting.

Details

• Work setting includes adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department environments
• Performs CT scans and X-rays across a broad range of anatomical areas including abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, chest, and vascular studies
• Procedures include CT arthrography, vascular CTA, pulmonary embolism studies, and multiplanar/3D reconstructions
• Uses GE CT scanners and PACS
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• 5x8-hour night shifts, Monday through Friday, 6:30 PM – 3:00 AM
• No on-call requirements
• Orientation week is on day shift to cover both CT and X-ray departments
• Rotational holiday coverage shared with existing staff
• Floating within the hospital as needed per facility policy

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
• ARRT(R)(CT) certification required; license required if applicable
• BLS required
• Experience on GE CT scanners strongly preferred
• Proficiency in image display and post-processing, 3D rendering (MIP, surface shaded displays, volume rendering), and multiplanar reconstruction
• Skills in contrast media preparation and/or administration, venipuncture, peripheral IV starts, and radiation safety
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE
• Two professional references from a supervisor or someone in a supervisory capacity, completed within the past 2 years
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position

• Candidates with background history may be considered
• Pending licenses will be considered with documentation showing the license is in progress
• Required pre-employment labs should be completed within 48–72 hours of contract signing
• Previous travelers or staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months and remain in good standing to be eligible to return
• Any requested time off (RTO) should be disclosed upfront
