Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with inpatient experience across NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and general pediatric and adult units for a 13-week night shift contract at an academic teaching hospital in Burlington, VT.
Details
- Inpatient hospital setting at an academic teaching hospital
- Respiratory Care Services unit covering NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and adult and pediatric general units
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend availability required as needed
- No on-call requirements
- No floating required
- No block schedules
- Epic EMR required; experience within the past 2 years is mandatory
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- RRT credential required; CRT will not be accepted
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
- Experience across NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and adult and pediatric general units required
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- At least two professional references from a nurse manager and/or supervisor (one within the past 6 months, one within the past year of employment)
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Vermont license required if applicable
- Schedule flexibility is required
- Reliable personal or rental transportation is strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in this area
Additional Information
- Prior travel experience is preferred but not required — first-time travelers will be considered
- Bi-weekly Monday orientations are offered
- All employment gaps exceeding 90 days should be explained in work history
- All specialties worked must be thoroughly documented within each individual employment entry
- Complete work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type is required
- Local candidates are accepted; pay rates are tiered based on distance from the facility (travel: 101+ miles, radius: 51–100 miles, local: 50 miles or less)
