Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Maternal Fetal Medicine unit requiring 1+ years of L&D experience with high-risk and immediate newborn care expertise.

Details

• Work in the Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit of a hospital setting
• 10-bed unit staffed with RNs, charge nurse, and PCTs on both day and night shifts
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Performs procedures including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-hysterectomy
• Uses Baxter pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
• Charts using Cerner and FetaLink EMR systems
• Shift runs from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Floating required to L&D, MOMB, and NICU
• No on-call requirement, weekends available upon approval

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS/ALS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required
• Immediate newborn care experience required
• Circulating experience preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Scrubs provided by facility
• Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality preferred for unit fit
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, local candidates not accepted
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration, Canadian SSNs not accepted
• One professional reference required for consideration
