Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Maternal Fetal Medicine unit requiring 1+ years of L&D experience with high-risk and immediate newborn care expertise.
Details
- Work in the Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit of a hospital setting
- 10-bed unit staffed with RNs, charge nurse, and PCTs on both day and night shifts
- Patient ratio of 1:3-4
- Performs procedures including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-hysterectomy
- Uses Baxter pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
- Charts using Cerner and FetaLink EMR systems
- Shift runs from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
- 13-week assignment
- Floating required to L&D, MOMB, and NICU
- No on-call requirement, weekends available upon approval
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS/ALS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- High-risk obstetric experience required
- Immediate newborn care experience required
- Circulating experience preferred
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Scrubs provided by facility
- Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality preferred for unit fit
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, local candidates not accepted
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration, Canadian SSNs not accepted
- One professional reference required for consideration
