Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager for an acute hospital setting requiring 2 years of acute care experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Acute hospital setting within the Case Management department
  • Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • One weekend day required per month in place of a scheduled weekday shift
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floating required to any inpatient unit as a case manager
  • Utilizes Epic EMR system

Requirements

  • Active Michigan RN license required by start date (compact license not accepted)
  • AHA certifications preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Case management responsibilities include admission criteria review, appeals and denials, care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment, DME ordering, plan of care development, and prior authorizations
  • Knowledge of CMS and HIPAA regulatory guidelines required

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel assignments
  • Former core staff members must wait 12 months before returning to the facility
  • Maximum RTO allowed is 5 days per assignment, to be submitted at time of consideration
  • EMR training is completed during orientation
