Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager for an acute hospital setting requiring 2 years of acute care experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Acute hospital setting within the Case Management department
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- One weekend day required per month in place of a scheduled weekday shift
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required to any inpatient unit as a case manager
- Utilizes Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license required by start date (compact license not accepted)
- AHA certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Case management responsibilities include admission criteria review, appeals and denials, care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment, DME ordering, plan of care development, and prior authorizations
- Knowledge of CMS and HIPAA regulatory guidelines required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel assignments
- Former core staff members must wait 12 months before returning to the facility
- Maximum RTO allowed is 5 days per assignment, to be submitted at time of consideration
- EMR training is completed during orientation
