Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist - Echocardiography with pediatric echo credentialing and independent pediatric echo scanning experience for a 13-week assignment.

Details

  • Works in the Cardiology Non-Invasive unit performing echocardiography
  • Patient population includes inpatient, outpatient, and ICU pediatric cases
  • 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, 36 hours per week
  • Schedule spans Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling
  • On-call required every weekend, including Saturday 8am-10pm, Sunday 8am-10pm, and Monday 5pm-5am
  • Must be able to arrive on-site within 30 minutes of an on-call notification
  • Must be confident scanning independently in critical care areas such as NICU and PICU
  • Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

  • ARDMS or CCI credential in pediatric echocardiography (RDCS-PE or RCS-PE) required
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • EKG recognition required
  • Minimum of 3 years of independent pediatric echo scanning experience required
  • Experience in fetal echocardiography preferred
  • Strong knowledge of complex congenital heart disease, cardiac surgical repairs, and pediatric cardiac anatomy required
  • EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years required
  • Experience with pediatric patients and family-centered care required
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • Perform independent pediatric echocardiography studies including scanning in critical care settings
  • Provide family-centered care to pediatric patients and their families
  • Reliable personal or rental transportation strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in this area
  • Accepts local candidates
  • Local rate applies within 50 miles and radius rate applies between 50-100 miles, measured by direct line distance
