Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CA RN license and at least 3 years of ER experience.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital
- Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts on a 36/48 rotation from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- BSN preferred
- Acute care facility experience preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of ER experience required
- Recent experience within the specialty required within the last 3 months
- Cerner and/or Epic EMR experience must be noted in employment history
Additional Information
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients following established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct various levels of assigned nursing staff while coordinating care across disciplines
- Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care needs
- Develop and implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe healing environment
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe and humane care
- Provide health education to patients, families, and treatment team members
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Appropriately delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
- Required vaccinations are a condition of employment
- Accepts local candidates with no radius rule and local rates matching travel rates
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
- Candidates with any prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
