Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a New Mexico or Compact RN license and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Details
- Work in the Post Surgical PACU unit of a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule with 4, 10-hour rotating shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Weekend requirement of 2 weekends per month, working 12-hour shifts (Sat/Sun counts as one weekend)
- On-call requirement of one night per week
- Floating required to other units within surgical services
- Uses EPIC EMR system
Requirements
- Active New Mexico RN license or current Compact state RN license
- Current BLS certification via AHA required
- Current ACLS certification via AHA required
- Current PALS certification via AHA required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Additional Information
- Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to identify progress and trends requiring intervention
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care within established nursing standards
- Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
- Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
- Dress code requires graphite gray scrubs
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Candidates who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility in a non-travel capacity must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for this travel assignment
