Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 1+ years of specialty experience and ARRT-R/BLS certification.

Details

• Acute Care Hospital setting with Level II Trauma Center designation
• Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department, and ICU work settings
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
• No weekend requirement
• No on-call requirement
• May float to an affiliate hospital campus as needed
• Open to accommodating block schedule
• Epic (Excellian) EMR experience required
• Uses PACS and Siemens equipment

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in CT Tech specialty
• ARRT-R and BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Level II Trauma Center experience required
• Level I Trauma Center and Community Hospital experience preferred
• Epic/Excellian charting system experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Proficiency in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
• Experience with abdomen and pelvis CT with and without contrast
• Experience with head, neck, spine, musculoskeletal, and chest CT imaging
• Experience with vascular CTA studies
• Skilled in contrast media preparation and administration
• Proficient in starting peripheral IVs
• Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Information

• Special procedures may include aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, drainage, myelography, vascular CTA, and CT arthrography
• Preferred experience with colonography, coronary CTA, PET CT, and radiation therapy planning
• Grey scrub color required
• No parking fees at this facility
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Locals accepted
• Candidates residing more than 100 miles from the facility may be eligible for standard radius exceptions applicable to radiology positions
• Returning travelers must have been gone at least 3 months since their last shift worked as staff or per diem
• RTO should ideally not exceed 5 days during the assignment
