Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ER experience, Epic experience, and multiple specialty certifications.

Details

• Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
• Facility is a Level II Trauma Center, Stroke Certified, and STEMI Certified
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Variable 3x12 shifts, mostly nights with possible rotation to days during the assignment
• Requires use of Epic EMR
• Candidates must be willing to float within the health system as operationally necessary

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oregon and/or Washington) or proof of application required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Preferred prior charge nurse experience
• Skills in trauma, pediatric emergency care, cardiac monitoring, respiratory management, and psychiatric emergency care preferred
• Two professional references from the past 2 years required, with at least one from a supervisor

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a broad range of adult and pediatric conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases
• Perform triage, cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias
• Administer emergency medications and manage IV therapy, including vasopressors and procedural sedation
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Local candidates are not accepted; local radius is defined as within 60 miles of the facility
• Previous PeaceHealth employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates with more than one DUI are not eligible for consideration
• Start date may be delayed up to 8 weeks if licensure is still in process at the time of offer
• Up to 3 RTO days may be approved for auto-offer positions, or up to 7 RTO days for regular offers, with some holiday RTO possible depending on unit needs
