Description
American Traveler seeks an Outpatient Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and 1+ year experience for a neuro rehabilitation program.
Details
- Outpatient setting within a neuro rehabilitation program
- Adult outpatient caseload with 1:1 patient ratio
- Treats CVA, degenerative diseases, dysarthria, dysphagia, fluency, TBI, and voice disorders
- Performs dysphagia management including bedside swallow evaluations, Frazier Free Water Protocol, and interpretation of Modified Barium Swallow Studies
- Utilizes evaluation tools such as Boston Aphasia Evaluation, CADL, CELF, and Western Aphasia Battery
- Uses augmentative communication devices, communication boards, and memory aids
- Epic charting system preferred
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist required
- Current CCC-SLP certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- LSVT certification preferred
- State license required if applicable
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred
- Skilled in acoustic analysis and voice/resonance assessment
- Experience with SLP evaluation coding, Medicaid, and Medicare B billing preferred
- Knowledge of signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse
Additional Information
- Provide assessment, evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning for adult outpatient neuro rehabilitation patients
- Develop and implement functional maintenance programs and plans of care
- Educate patients and families on communication and swallowing strategies
- Utilize compensatory strategies, oral motor techniques, and thermal stimulation for dysphagia management
- Document care using point-of-service documentation standards
- First-time travelers with prior outpatient experience may be considered
- Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for positive results
- Candidates must reside within 110 miles of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
- Travel experience is highly preferred
