Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager with a CA RN license and at least 3 years of case management experience for a day-shift assignment.

Details

• Work as a Case Manager in an acute hospital setting
• Support a pilot project focused on liver failure patients across ED, OBS, and inpatient units
• Day shift schedule (5x8 or 4x10 hours), 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Uses Epic charting system
• Business casual dress attire required, no scrubs

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (no temporary license accepted)
• BSN required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of recent case management experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I hospital experience preferred
• Experience with InterQual criteria preferred
• Medical-Surgical and Surgical Services specialty experience preferred
• At least one previous travel assignment required

Additional Information

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including a Community Health Worker, to navigate patient care and discharge planning
• Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, and utilization review
• Familiarity with CMS and The Joint Commission regulatory standards is beneficial
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Recommended to keep requested time off under 7 days per assignment when possible
