Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARDMS or ARRT(S) certification for a night shift contract role
Details
- Hospital setting with 373 licensed beds, including 46 ICU beds, 40 progressive care beds, and 70 observation beds
- Ultrasound department performs an average of 48 studies per day
- Serves inpatient, observation, outpatient, and ED patient populations
- Provides general, vascular, OBGYN, small parts, and ultrasound guided invasive procedure services
- Team rotates to an on-campus Rehab facility for imaging coverage
- Night shift schedule, Monday-Thursday 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 40 hours per week
- On-call requirement of 3-7 consecutive call shifts every 8th week, with weekend backup call coverage
- No floating required
- Uses Epic EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, and Philips iSite PACS
- Equipment includes Siemens Sequoias, Parks FlowLab, and Trophon
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist required
- ARDMS or ARRT(S) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Active license required, if applicable
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Skilled in invasive procedures such as paracentesis and thoracentesis
- Experience with general, limited OB, and vascular studies including ABI/WBI/TBI, arterial and venous studies, carotid, liver doppler, renal artery, aorta, and neonatal cranial imaging
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
- Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound studies across general, vascular, OBGYN, and small parts imaging, along with ultrasound guided invasive procedures
- Supported by onsite Radiologists 7 days a week and Radiologist PAs on weekdays and weekends
- Guest Services and Transport support available for IP and Obs patient transport to the department
- Administrative onboarding takes 1 day, with departmental orientation ranging from 2 to 10 days as needed
- Black scrub color required
- Free employee parking available in designated lots and decks
- Travelers will work 75% of holidays
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Candidates must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
