Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level II trauma facility, requiring 2+ years of CT experience and ARRT (R) certification.
Details
- Acute care Level II trauma facility setting within the Diagnostic Radiology department
- Perform CT scans on both inpatient and outpatient populations across OR and ER settings
- Uses Cerner EMR along with Philips iPatient 64 and Big Bore 16 CT equipment
- C-arms are used in the OR
- 12-hour night shifts on an every-other-weekend (EOW) schedule
- This is a first-to-float position
- Call requirements vary and will be discussed during the interview process
- Radiologist coverage in-house until 6 PM, with on-call coverage overnight
- Floor-specific orientation consists of 1-2 shifts in the department
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required
- Current ARRT (R) certification required
- License required if applicable
- COVID vaccine required
- Level II Trauma experience preferred but not required
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a self-starter able to work independently, especially given reduced resources on night shift
Additional Information
- Reports to the department manager and team lead
- Teal scrub color required, unless working in the OR where scrubs are provided
- Candidates should be prepared to work holidays as needed
- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
- Night shift staffing includes fewer resources, which can increase the pace and demands of the role
