Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Main Operating Room position requiring TX or compact RN license, Trauma Level II experience, and more than 3 years of OR experience.

Details

• Work in the Main Operating Room of a hospital environment
• Handles a wide range of surgical specialties including robotic (Da Vinci Xi), orthopedic, trauma, general/gyn, urology, ENT, plastics, pain management, ophthalmology, neuro/spine, and vascular cases
• 1:1 patient ratio during procedures
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM), Tuesday through Friday
• Call requirements include 1 weekday and 1 weekend per month
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• More than 3 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• LTAC experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency across multiple surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, orthopedic, cardiovascular, general surgery, robotics, urology, and neuro/spine procedures

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and scrub duties across a broad range of surgical specialties and procedures
• Facility conducts its own mandatory onsite drug screen including marijuana testing, and a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions
• Candidates should avoid CBD products and other substances that could result in a positive drug screen after clearance and prior to arrival onsite
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position due to travel experience requirement
