Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT/Rad Tech Dual Modality technologist for a free-standing ED, requiring ARRT certification with advanced registry in CT and 2+ years of experience.
Details
- Work in a free-standing emergency department with a 12-bed ED and no trauma designation
- Facility offers 24/7 on-site X-ray, CT, and Ultrasound services
- Average of 45 ED visits per day and 30 total DX Rad & CT studies per day
- ED patient population only
- Dual-modality role performing both CT and general X-rays, including portables
- May assist with rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, line and lab draws, sitting for psych patients, and chaperoning ultrasound exams when not performing radiology tasks
- Uses EPIC EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, and Philips iSite PACS
- Equipment includes GE Revolution Evo and Siemens GoTop CT scanners, Bayer/Medrad power injectors, and Shimadzu RadSpeed and MX8 portable X-ray units
- 12-hour night shifts (7P-7A) for 36 hours per week
- No floating required
- No on-call or call-back requirements
Requirements
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required, with familiarity operating a CT scanner
- License required if applicable
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
- Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge title
Additional Information
- Teamwork is expected among staff from other specialties and modalities
- Administrative onboarding includes Epic, eLearnings, and policy review over 1 day, followed by 2 days to 1 week of departmental orientation as needed
- Black scrubs required
- Free surface lot parking available
- Weekend rotation requirements will be discussed during the final interview and depend on staffing needs at the time of the contract
- Travelers will work 75% of holidays
- First-time travelers will be considered if familiar with the CT scanner
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted
- Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
