Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring CRRT, Swan-Ganz, and mechanical circulatory support experience.

Details

Work in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit / CVICU setting
Care for post cardiac surgery patients (not directly from OR) and complex cardiovascular cases
16-week assignment with day (3x12, 7:00-19:30) or night (3x12, 19:00-7:00) shifts
Rotating day/night shift schedule offered
Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

Active RN license (Utah or Compact) required, with a pending Utah license accepted as long as the full license is in hand prior to start
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of CVICU RN experience required
Required experience with CRRT/CVVHD, Swan-Ganz/Pulmonary Artery Line monitoring, and mechanical circulatory support (Impella, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, ECMO)
Epic charting experience required
Skilled in arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
Skilled in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and BiPAP/CPAP management
Skilled in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips and administering continuous IV sedation
Skilled in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and cardiac monitoring/emergency response

Additional Information

Up to 10 days of RTO available per 13-week contract, with additional RTO available proportionally for longer contracts
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Previous full-time employees of this health system are not eligible to return as travelers, with no exceptions
Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility, and local candidates residing within the state of Utah are not accepted
Provide advanced critical care nursing to complex cardiovascular and post-surgical patients requiring multisystem organ support
