Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 3 years of experience and night shift availability.

Details

Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital environment
Patient population includes neonates and adults
Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 6:00pm to 6:30am
Weekend coverage required every 3rd weekend
Uses Pyxis medication system
Uses Meditech documentation system

Requirements

Active IL RN license currently in hand
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
Minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
Meditech charting experience preferred
Skilled in NST, OCT, and sterile vaginal exams
Experience in triage of obstetrical patients
Proficient in use of EFM and spiral electrode placement
Experience with external and internal fetal monitoring
Skilled in IUPC placement and calibration
Ability to recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
Experience administering blood and blood products
Skilled in drawing venous blood and starting/maintaining peripheral IVs
Experience with infusion pumps, drips, and IV monitoring
Experience circulating and recovering C-sections
Experience with epidural anesthesia management

Additional Information

Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including antepartum management and pain management support
Scrubs are provided
First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level
Locals accepted at the same rate
