Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a hospital-based role requiring 1+ year of experience and ARRT(N) or CNMT certification, with first-time travelers welcome.
Details
- Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine Tech unit
- Day shift, 4x10 hours, 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM
- Weekend coverage as needed
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required within facility scope of practice and to outpatient settings as needed
- Any charting system experience required
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- ARRT(N) or CNMT certification required
- BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Experience with GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, or Toshiba equipment
- Proficiency in procedures including HIDA scan, bone scan, whole body/limited/3-phase scans, lung scan, DTPA aerosol, ventilation/perfusion, thyroid studies, cancer survey, I-123 uptake scan, myocardial studies, and pharmacological/thallium stress tests
- Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE, starting and maintaining IVs, and safe storage/handling/disposal of radioactive materials
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized at the time of submission
- No RTO or schedule requests can be made after offer or onsite
- Traveler is expected to work major holidays occurring during the assignment, with limited exceptions based on the number of holidays scheduled
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day
- Candidates must be away from all facilities within this health system for one full year before returning as a traveler
- Full compliance is required to start on time
