Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a PCU/MedSurg Float position requiring a compact RN license and BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

Float position between the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Med Surg departments within a hospital setting
Each unit has 25 beds
PCU patient ratio is 5:1 and Med Surg patient ratio is 7:1
Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
No block scheduling available
Required to work every other weekend and holiday
No on-call requirements
Uses Meditech EMR system

Requirements

Active RN license (Compact) currently in hand
Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Additional Information

Provide nursing care across both PCU and Med Surg units as needed based on staffing demands
ASAP start date available

Scheduling was sometimes hard to follow and they would wait until the week before to release the next schedule.

As a travel nurse, I realize the importance of reputation.
