Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgery Trauma Med/Surg position at a Level 1 trauma center requiring at least 2 years of specialty and high-acuity trauma experience.

Details

• Work on the 6A Surgery Trauma unit within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Patient population includes spinal neuro trauma surgical patients, gunshot victims, quadriplegics, and paraplegics
• 12-hour night shift schedule with 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Requires 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg specialty required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments required
• Background in high-volume hospitals managing complex and severe cases required
• Experience managing critical, fast-paced situations required
• Work history/resume with no employment gaps greater than 60 days required
• Skills checklist, certification cards, and Nursys license verification required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to high-acuity trauma and surgical patients in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• No RTO permitted during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as traveler rate
• Block scheduling is generally not approved for this unit
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals are not suitable for this position
