Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU Night shift position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and an OK or Compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:30-07:00
• 13-week assignment length
• Float to Med/Surg and ER as census requires
• Weekends and holidays required on a rotating basis
• Uses Meditech charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license, OK state or Compact license required in-hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; CPI preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Meditech charting experience required for Med/Surg and Rehab units; strongly preferred for other units
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, and PICC line management
• Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, ABG interpretation, and various suctioning techniques
• Proficient in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and administering emergency medications
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients, including management of ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and titration of high-risk medications
• Support includes float coverage to Med/Surg and ER as needed based on facility census
• Holiday RTO will not be approved for part-time staff; RTO requests must be submitted at time of application
• First-time travelers are not required for this role
• Travel pairs are accepted for this assignment
