Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Med/Surg unit requiring 2 years of hospital experience and IV certification.

Details

• Work in a 36-bed Medical/Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratios of 1:6, with occasional 1:7 during surge periods
• Unit supported by a Unit Secretary (day shift only) and LNAs on both shifts
• Utilizes telemetry monitoring equipment
• Documentation is completed in Meditech Expanse
• Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required with rotating holiday coverage
• Floating required to units of the same level of care
• Self-scheduling available, with leadership balancing needs as necessary

Requirements

• Active RN license (NH or Compact) required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and IV certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required
• Med-Surg experience required
• Experience with procedures including CBI, wound care, drain management (chest tubes, Jackson-Pratt), foley insertion, central line dressing changes, telemetry monitoring, and PRN EKGs

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include bedside shift reporting, hourly safety rounding, and maintaining personal connections with patients
• Scrubs of any color are required as part of the dress code
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates will not be considered
