Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Adult Medical Oncology ICU position requiring critical care skills with central/arterial lines and vasopressor titration.
Details
- Work in a mixed ICU/Floor Level Oncology unit within a hospital setting
- Adult Medical Oncology ICU treating Bone Marrow Transplant, Hematologic, and Solid Tumor Malignancy patients
- Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Required to work every other weekend
- Holiday coverage as needed by the unit
- No on-call responsibilities
- Orientation occurs on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- ICU experience required, including central line and arterial line management
- Experience titrating vasopressor medications required
- Experience managing patients with cardiac monitoring required
- Acute Care/Telemetry experience required
- Oncology experience preferred
- Alaris pump experience preferred
- CRRT experience preferred
- Critical Care Certification preferred
- Trauma course completion preferred
- ACLS certification preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Experience at a comparable facility size (500+ beds) required
Additional Information
- Provide critical care and oncology nursing support to adult bone marrow transplant patients in a mixed ICU/floor-level setting
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- First-time travelers may be considered for this position
