Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Home Health position requiring an active NJ or compact license and 2 years of recent home health experience.

Details

• Home health setting serving patients discharged from hospitals and nursing facilities
• Caseload includes wound care, wound vacs, Pleurx drains, ostomies, heart failure, diabetes, oncology, post-surgical, and orthopedic diagnoses
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Productivity expectation of 6 visits per day or equivalent, with admissions counted as 2 visits
• Requires working every 5th weekend and every other holiday
• Uses OASIS and Epic EMR systems

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Home Health experience
• Med Surg skills required
• OASIS and Epic EMR experience required
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• Current BLS certification that does not expire within 30 days of assignment start

Additional Information

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients transitioning from hospital or nursing facility settings to home care
• Manage a variety of complex conditions including wound care, drain management, ostomy care, and chronic disease management
• No mileage reimbursement provided for this position
